Eliott's 3rd Birthday

We headed over to Davenport today to help Eliott celebrate his 3rd Birthday. The sun popped out alittle, so we were able to play outside some. Eliott got a sandbox from his mom and dad so the kids had fun playing in it. He knew we were all there to celebrate his b-day, he would walk around the house saying "Happy Birthday".

Stencil

The girls got these stencils as party favors from Stella's birthday party. Hannah had more fun doing hers than Haydn. Haydn lost interest but enjoyed looking at her "masterpiece" afterwards.

Lolo Jones

The girls got to meet Lolo today. We helped Marcia today at "Her Story". Lolo was the guest of honor. Chrysalis Foundation supports after school programs for girls in middle school to high school. I helped Marcia (and others) set up and tear down after the party. Lolo answered questions and spoke alittle about her upbringing. She graduated from Roosevelt. She is a true inspiration! I explained to Hannah that Lolo went to the Olympics where Shawn was. It was a fun day.

80's

Hannah started referring to things as the 80's last weekend. I don't think she really understands what she is saying and I don't know where she heard this. Sometimes it does fit what she is talking about and other times it doesn't. She asked me when I was born, I said in the 70's. She asked me if that is when Nana, was born, I said no. She is a funny girl. Haydn was trying on some of her new summer clothes and the shorts she has on do remind me of the 80's for some reason. I had some the same style just more of a Diagonal maroon/gold color, which I did wear in the 80's!! The boots are Hannah's.

Excitement

I was at supper with girlfriends last night and Wes and the girls were on their way home to find this in the corn field right next to our house. Per some of the neighbors, I guess it just cleared the roof tops. The whole street was down here on our corner looking on at the hot air balloon. Luckily for us we have a open space next to us for their emergency landing!

Easter Weekend in Mt Ayr

The girls and I headed to Mt Ayr on Friday afternoon. Wes stayed here, he had to work on Saturday. Sunday's are his only day off from work. He needs a day to rest! We got to MA and Haydn saw her presents, so she opened them right away. She got lots of new summer clothes, a baby that pees and clothes for her build a bear. Saturday we headed up to the egg hunt at the court house. The girls got lots of treats, afterwards they were doing a storytime at the Princess Theater. The grandkids enjoyed decorating a bunny cake at Nana & Papa's. I think they ate as much frosting as they put on the cake! We went to church this morning in Maloy. A fun packed weekend.

Birthday Continued.....

Tonight when Wes got home we headed to Pizza Ranch. Haydn LOVES pizza. Not knowing that tonight kids eat free with a paid adult. That was a nice surprise. We came home and she opened presents. Then had Birthday cupcakes. She enjoyed blowing the candles out. She actually had them blown out before I captured a picture so we had to relight them again. She enjoyed her cupcake! She only had the frosting!! I believe she is ringing in her 3rd Birthday is style. She has had a fun day!!

Chuck E Cheese

We headed to Chuck E Cheese for lunch with Grandma Marcia & Great Grandma Bev was in town so she helped celebrate too. It was a perfect time to go (lunch time) it wasn't busy at all. The girls had fun playing games. She also got her 3 yr pictures taken this morning, she did great. We have cupcakes for tonight and presents from us for her to open. I think she has had a great 3rd Birthday so far, still more to come! What a lucky girl!

Haydn is 3

Today is Haydn's 3rd Birthday. She was born on a Friday at 3:27 PM. We didn't find out what we were having again with her. It was a fun surprise not knowing (I think anyway) what our babies were. She was a good baby too. She did take a pacifier until somewhere between 2 yr and 2 1/2 (when I finally took it away from her). She started sleeping through the night at 12 weeks. She had a lot of hair when she was born too. When she was a baby her hair sort of had an auburn tint but once she reached 1 and was outside that 1st summer her hair turned blonde. I never thought it would be blonde. I love your big blue eyes. She is SPUNKY! She is a VERY tough girl doesn't cry very often. She can be dramatic but not near as much as Hannah! She is VERY strong willed also. She knows what she wants and will fight for it. She will not be a follower in life! She is an outgoing girl, but you take her near a dog, clowns, Santa, Easter Bunny she will not leave our side! She is funny like that. She has changed a lot in the last year. She has moved from a crib to a twin bed, potty trained, no pacifier. She loves to do ANYTHING Hannah is doing. She learned how to pedal her trike last summer.

I wish you all the happiness in the world, Haydn. I know you will be a leader in life and not a follower. Since she is mothered my Hannah and myself during the day she does like to mother smaller children than her. I think she enjoys the opportunity to pick on someone smaller than her, when she gets the chance. She is starting to get opinionated about her clothes, she likes to wear jeans every day if she can. She doesn't like to wear socks she never has. She loves to try on any shoes she can find also.

I love you more than words can say, Haydn. I am so glad I had two girls to share the fun experiences that I shared with my sisters (more so now than when we were younger). I am looking forward to the years ahead. I just hope that your spunkyness doesn't get you in trouble as you get older!

Happy 3rd Birthday Haydn!!

Easter Eggs

The girls and I dyed Easter eggs after lunch. Hannah was more interested in it than Haydn was. She did a couple and then was done. I even had fun decorating a couple.

More Presents....

Grandpa Tom dropped off a present this morning for Haydn. She got a Barbie Horse Carriage. The carriage plays music and spins around. She loves the horse the most. She is enjoying all the special attention she has been getting over the past few days.
Thanks Grandpa Tom, Amy, Sam & Matt.
