Trick-or-Treating

Boy, it was cold and rainy tonight for trick-or-treating. I took the girls out tonight. I think they had more fun once we got home and was able to hand candy out. Haydn's costume was PERFECT this year, it kept her warm!!

I helped with Hannah's class party this afternoon. It was alot of fun. They got into their costumes and then paraded around the other Kindergarten classes that were all sitting out in the hall. Once they got back to the room we had 4 stations set up for them to move around to. I tried to get a good group picture of them (always one that isn't looking at the camera). Also in the picture is the student teacher, Ms Thompson.

Hannah decided to paint her pumpkin this year instead of carving it. Haydn followed suit. I had bought two REALLY big pumpkins at the Amish Grocery Store in Redding. I have always wanted big ones and this year got them. I also bought two small ones. The big ones would take a month of Sundays to carve. Haydn painted hers multi colored. Hannah painted a face on hers.

another one is gone..

Hannah lost her 2nd tooth this morning. It has been loose for over a week. This morning she was really working on it. She had her hand held mirror and could see the hole from the back and also on one side. I told her that it had to be gone before lunch or she would swallow it while eating. She actually pulled it herself! She looks so different without the two bottom teeth!!

with the unexpected snow we had this morning. We decided to bake sugar cookies. The girls were VERY creative with the decorating. Haydn ate almost as much frosting as she put on her cookies. We will see how much lunch they actually eat. It was something fun to do this morning!

Beggars Bash

We stayed in Mt Ayr for the beggars bash last night. Was a perfect night for it. Hannah was a clown and Haydn was a monkey. They got more candy to add to what we still have from Beaverdale parade.

15 yr class reunion

I had my 15 yr class reunion this past weekend. Saturday we were to have a picnic with all our families. It was too cold for that. Saturday night we all got together (adults only) at Roadhouse. there were 13 or 14 of us that showed up. We ate supper, looked at old yearbooks. It was a fun time. Started talking about 20 yrs, now that sounds old to me!!

a thing of the past

I believe Haydn's afternoon nap is over. The past 3 weeks or so when she goes down for a nap (which she goes down SO easily) she then fights going to bed at night. When it is time to go to sleep she is up until 10:00 sometimes or even later. I just don't understand, that during the afternoon when I would put her down she falls asleep with no problem but then doesn't want to go to bed at night?! I have had someone taking a afternoon nap in this house for over 6 yrs. So this will be a BIG adjustment to me more than Haydn. She is going on 3 1/2 years so I knew this time would be coming sooner than I wanted it to. Hannah gave up her PM nap the summer she was turning 4. I knew this was my last summer with Haydn napping.

Along with this Haydn has been getting out of her bed at night. If you remember previous post about her calling for me to come and get her. Yes, she has done this for almost a year. She will call for me most morning to come and get her out of bed. She was moved to her twin bed a year ago. All good things must end, right?
