Vada's visit

Vada came and spent last Sunday night with us. All 3 girls were in heaven!!  Vada is VERY into everything princess!!  We have 5-6 dresses that the girls no longer wear. I was hoping to give all to Vada but only one really fit her, meaning I still had to put a chip clip on the back!!  She is a skinny girl!!  She went to the Y with me on Monday morning. She had a great time there playing with other kids and running around. She is SO adaptable!!  I mean SO ADAPTABLE!!  She never asked for her mom or cried once while here! She goes with the flow!  Monday after we got home I was washing dishes and she wanted to help.

Winter Games

We headed to Okoboji on Friday night. I feel so bad for the lack of pictures I took.  Yesterday we headed out on the ice and these are the only ones I got!!  Kayren's friends brought up 3 snowmobiles one being for kids. It was so cute and I even drove a sled myself, it was a 1st for me. It was alot of fun! With our winter being mild some of the activities were cancelled but we still had a great time. It wasn't windy and the kids never complained once that they were cold!!

100th day of Kindergarten

Haydn will be celebrating her 100th day of school on Jan 23rd.  Her teacher asked her to bring in 100 items. She chose pennies. She counted them out into groups of 10.  She did a great job!! 

IA Basketball Game

We headed over to IA City for a basketball game yesterday. The Hawks have not played well this season (is what Wes has told me) but this game they played 13 ranked Michigan and we won by 15 or so!! It was a fun day.

another beautiful winter day

We had another close to 60 degree day today!!!  YEA!!!  We meet the Davidson's at the park today.  It was so nice to be outside in lightweight jackets!! 

 The kids headed over the the ball fields (think there were 4 or 5) anyway the kids started finding small plastic balls. Kayren said they find them at park near their house. I guess the go with some nerf type guns. The kids had a blast finding these plastic balls. We brought them home and they have been washed of the sand and are drying. Not sure what we are doing with them, but they are TREASURES!

The girls didn't have school today. I wanted to do something fun with them, I thought of Glazed Expressions. I knew Hannah would love it, she is very artistic!!  She payed attention to all the details of her ice cream treasure box. Haydn is a great job as well. She chose to make a cupcake treasure box! It was a fun afternoon with the girls. Can't wait to see the finished product!! 

unbelievable weather

Today the weather was 62 degrees here in Iowa. Unheard of this time of year!! We took full advantage of it and headed to a park after school. I have never seen this park SO busy, not even in the summer!!  We met up with Haydn's friend Lili.  The girls had a great time playing together!!  Love, love our mild winter we are having this year!!
