Ice Skating

After lunch we headed downtown to Brenton Skating Park. We had a great time. It wasn't too cold outside, perfect day for ice skating.

this is the beginning, both were holding the railing but got more confident as time went on.

thumbs up to ice skating

batting practice

Hannah starts teeball in April. Yesterday we went out and bought a helmet, bat, ball and new glove for her. Today we went into Sprayers and she practiced hitting off the tee and throwing the ball. Wes even pitched to her and she hit that way also. I think she will really enjoy teeball.

Today while I was cleaning the house I decided to let Haydn have a bubble bath. Why did I not think of this entertainment years ago??? She had a blast.

North Carolina Visit

The girls and I flew out on Thursday to Raleigh to meet Isla and visit Pat, Anna Leigh and Vada. We had a great trip. Flights were on time, weather was great and our hosts were awesome! It was a busy time to visit them, for they just moved into their new house, actually they were moving in. We stayed at the old house the 1st night and the next 3 nights we stayed at the new house. Their new home is beautiful, big and spacious for all their house guests they have!
Here we are on the plane leaving DM! Hannah says thumbs up to leaving cold temps and snow!

homemade pizzas

Since I knew Hannah was getting out of school early today for blizzard like warnings, and after Haydn got out of school we headed to the grocery store to buy some ingredients to make cookies and then buy something fun for supper. We decided on homemade pizzas. The cookies were AWESOME (best right out of the oven)! The homemade pizzas were a hit also. Haydn made cheese! Hannah made a smiley face with ham, pepperoni and cheese. Mine had ham, black olives, tomatoes and cheese. DELICIOUS!! Wes was still at work when we ate supper. The reason why the girls are in their PJ's is because we had early baths!!

Snowfall rates will increase to one half to one inch per hour by mid to late afternoon. Winds/visibility, northeast winds of 25 to 35 mph with higher gusts are expected this afternoon into Wednesday morning. Gusts will approach 50 mph late this afternoon and into the evening. Visibilities will drop to near zero. Impacts, travel will be dangerous and life threatening due to dramatically reduced visibilities and bitter cold wind chills that will develop overnight. Travel will be nearly impossible by late this afternoon and tonight. If you become stranded, expect to spend the entire night in your vehicle as rescuers likely will not be able to reach you. Therefore, if you must travel, do it soon! do not endanger yours and others lives! Precautionary/preparedness actions, A blizzard warning means severe winter weather conditions are expected or occurring. Falling and blowing snow with strong winds and poor visibilities are likely.
