Birthday Part 2

Haydn was excited for her Birthday last night for she stayed awake with different excuses an 1 hour past her bedtime and today she woke up 30-45 min earlier than her normal time!

Blowing out her 5 candles. We wanted to start the day off with a sugar high from a donut cake!

She took cupcakes for snack today at preschool. Might as well continue the sugar high, right?! We will go out for supper tonight as a family. Haydn has not decided where she wants to go yet.

Haydn turns 5

Haydn is 5 today. She has been looking forward to her Birthday for close to a month! She is the spitfire our family needs.

A few of a her favorite shows are Caillou & Arthur. She started preschool this fall and loves going to school. Is excited for Kindergarten and being able to walk to school with Hannah.

She loves puzzles, playing school with Hannah and going to the mall (to the BAB store) She LOVES babies. Can't help but hold them or pick them up. She will do anything to get her hands on a baby!

It seems like yesterday that she was born! Can't believe 5 years has past. This coming year will be a big year for her with starting Kindergarten and going to school all day. She is ready though. Hannah has been playing school with her for almost 2 years now and has actually taught her a bunch of stuff ! I hope she loves school and has a great Kindergarten year.

Block Jello and Hickory Dickory Dock

Haydn and I started our block jello recipe yesterday. I follow a recipe blog and thought this would be fun and hopefully tasteful for us to eat. The recipe calls for 4 different colors. I think it would be fun to choose colors for the holidays also. Today we cut the jello into small pieces mix with sweetened condensed milk. Refrigerate overnight. Ours was solid by suppertime so we had some after supper. It actually tasted good!

Today in preschool Haydn's craft was to make a Hickory Dickory Clock. Hannah still had hers she made at HTP.

1st Grade Music Concert

Hannah had her music program tonight. It was short and sweet. They sang 6 to 7 45 second songs. Each child had a speaking part or played a special instrument. Hannah playing the xylophone Haydn watching very closely

St Patrick's Day

Stella, Porter, the girls and I headed down to MA yesterday for the 2nd annual St Patty's Day parade. It was a fun day, the kids were in the parade with Mom and dad. The weather was gorgeous! Later on we came home and got the girls dressed up in dresses/costume for the style show at Lefty's! Lynn made a new category for the kids once we arrived. Not all cool parents take their kids to Lefty's for a style show on St Patrick's Day. Stella and Haydn won trophies for their outfits. It was a fun day/evening!

spring like weather/picnic/parks/spring break

We have enjoyed day 2 of spring break. We have been outside playing on the swingset, flying kites, picnic lunches and parks two days in a row!! We are loving our 50 close to 60 degree weather!

Cat in the Hat

Today Haydn celebrated Cat in the Hat at school. The kids wore hats to school and made this craft today.

Water Park Fun

Mom & dad, Davidson's, Mark and Ken and the 4 of us headed to the water park last night. It was alot of fun. The 4 grandkids spent the night there. I think as much swimming as the 4 of them did, they should of slept very well!! The below pic is Hannah but the lighting was dark in there so all pictures I took were dark like this.
