Kindergarten Celebration and Shawn Johnson

We got to meet Shawn Johnson tonight. Marcia is on the Board of Directors for the Chrysalis Foundation. They provide resources to support leadership and economic self-sufficiency of women and girls in Polk, Warren and Dallas Counties in central Iowa. Shawn was the guest speaker.

Today Hannah had a program to celebrate her finishing Kindergarten. They sang some songs that they sing daily. They had a cookies and lemonade for us also. She made a plate with her picture on it for us to keep and she got to bring home her Kindergarten portfolio! I of course shed some tears.

We broke out the slip n slide today after Hannah got home from school. The girls had a blast playing on it as you can tell!

Hannah lost one of her front top teeth today after school. I guess it got knocked last night while we were at a Birthday party. It has been loose for quite some time. Last night once we got home she worked on it for close to an hour. Then this morning she worked on it for 45 min or so. I told her teacher that it was loose and that Hannah would be probably playing with it all day and that maybe it would fall out at school. When I went to pick her up, Mrs Rutz said it was still there. So once we got home she worked in it until it came out, another hour! Can't wait till the other one comes out and then she will be talking funny!

The girls and I planted our flowers today. We usually do this on Mother's Day but this past week has been cold. Sounds like this week it will be warming back up. The girls had fun playing in the dirt and watering them.

Yesterday we had a girls day with pedicures. Mom, Kayren, Linda, the 3 little girls and I all got pedicures. Haydn was so cute, she sat so patiently waiting for her turn. Hannah got a peace sign on her big toes and Haydn got flowers on hers. They were very proud of her toenails. It was a fun afternoon with all the ladies!

We headed to Porter's last night to celebrate his 3rd birthday. We gave him a nerf gun, which Porter and I had fun playing with. He likes the color blue so he had a blue dinosaur cake. It was delicious!

The girls and I headed to the zoo today for our annual Mother's Day outing. They have a few new animals this year. It was a beautiful day compared to yesterdays weather. We had a picnic in the back of the which I think was one of the highlights of the day.

I always go in and check on the girls before I head to bed. This is how I found Haydn tonight! She had done a 180 in her bed!

Hannah's Music Concert

Hannah had her music concert tonight. She sang some really cute songs!

tooth fairy letter

Found this note and envelope in Hannah's room today. Her note she has wrote to the tooth fairy says, " To Tooth Fairy can you tel me your phone nuber an wuat do you do with are teth"? The other side of the paper she has drawn a fairy with wings and a crown on the fairies head. The envelope says, "Dear tooth fairy how are thagnz going? She is saving this note and envelope for the next time she looses a tooth!
