Feels like summer

Been awhile since I last blogged!! We have spent a lot of time outside with the nice weather and all. Both girls love being outside!! Even though Haydn can't talk yet, you can tell she is trying to tell us what she wants! She will go get her shoes when I tell her we are going outside. So she understands!! Hannah loves playing with Stella. Now Stella is a big sister, she has a little brother, Porter. Hannah likes to hold him.

Love the weather!

With this nice weather we have been outside both days this week. Haydn is doing great with her walking outside. Won't be long until she really gets the hang of it. Seems like as each day passes she walks more than she crawls!! Next she will learn to run!! My baby is no longer a baby!!! Remove Formatting from selection

Sock Monkeys

The girls and I ventured to Mt Ayr this weekend. Wes was gone on a bowling tournament. Mom has been working on sock monkeys for the girls for a few weeks now. Hannah as you know loves monkeys so that is right up her alley. Haydn just wants to chew on hers.

Curious George

Hannah and I went to storytime here at the Waukee library today to see Curious George!! Hannah LOVES Curious George!! There was a puppet show and "the man with the yellow hat" was there too!! The first thing Hannah asked me this morning when she woke up was if today was the day we see "George". As a mom, it is fun to see her get excited over things she loves!!!

Swimming

Last night we celebrated dad's b-day at the Hilton Inn, out by Jordan Creek mall. Hannah and Stella, no lie were in the pool the whole time there were there. As you can see in the picture they have matching swimsuits!! It was a nice relaxing night. We ordered pizza and just sat by the pool all evening.

Sgt Bluff x-mas

We went to Sgt Bluff last weekend for x-mas with Tom, Amy, Sam and Matt. Hannah had a ball. As you can see in the picture she got playdoh!! Sam was great with Hannah the whole weekend. They even made cookies!! Haydn had a great time too. She got a couple new "learning" toys so she will have fun with them. She has started to crawl now. Well she rolls to where she wants to go more than crawling, but we now have to keep the gate closed to the stairs. Haydn turned 9 months on Jan 7th!! Won't be long until we are celebrating her 1st b-day!!

x-mas 2006

well we have had a great holiday season too!! We still have one or two left to go!! Anna Leigh and Patrick drove back from NC this x-mas! Was great to see them! Hannah had fun opening her gifts. She didn't get too many toys, YEAH!! Haydn on the other hand didn't know what was going on. She would rather play with the boxes or even eat the paper than anything else. Next year she should enjoy x-mas more.

Well Hannah enjoyed it more than Haydn, but Haydn was good rode in her stroller just looking around. Hannah is curious george this year and Haydn is a black cat

new job!!

Well Friday was my last day of working at Marsh! We sat down and realized that a lot of my check was going to day-care so I put in my two weeks notice and now am staying home with the girls. I didn't really like my job either. But tomorrow I have an interview at the YMCA here in Waukee for a PT job. I can take the girls with me so that will be nice. I feel like I will miss the adult interaction and want Hannah to still be around kids, so we will see what tomorrow brings. Went to Mt Ayr over the weekend. Mom and dad had a weiner roast for us. Hannah has never been to one before. It was a lot of fun for all of us. Even made smores!! Liking this warmer weather, got to take advantage of it!!

9-11

Well today marks the 5th anniv of 9-11. My dept walked over to the "Healing Fields" today. It was raining but that didn't stop a lot of people from attending the ceremony. I will never forget Sept 11, 2001. It was my first day back to work from our honeymoon. Wes and I had just got off a plane from Jamacia the Sunday before the terrorist attack. Now that I have two children I think of what a wonder country we live in and some day when the girls are in school they will learn about this day. For those of you that live in the DM area you should really go see the 3000 flags. It is very moving to see a flag for each person that died that day.

Hannah

Haydn

update on the Little family

well I am new to blogging, I know it is the new hip thing to keeping in touch! We will see how well I keep this up. Haydn is 5 months today!! She is on the verge of rolling over!! Loves to watch Hannah at all times. Hannah is pretty good with her. Once Haydn is on the move, I have a feeling I will hear, "Mom, Haydn is getting into my things" a lot!!! We are busy, but that is the only way I know of life right now!!
