ghost cookies
I saw this snack on another blog I check and thought it would be fun to do with the girls today. Haydn helped me till the end, usually it is the other way around!! Now our ghosts didn't turn out as "pretty" as the pictures but I think ours were created with more love!!

fudge balls
This weekend was Covered Bridge Days. Today we headed down to Winterset to walk around the square for awhile. The girls didn't even want to watch the parade. They just wanted to get out to Great Grandpa's to collect "fudge balls" is what Haydn calls them .....aka hedge balls. The girls enjoyed riding in the mule as well.

The Missing Crayon
by Hannah Little
once apon a time their was a little girl named lili. she lived in a house. she had a farite crayon. it was a purple crayon. her mom called her she said "lili it is time to go". lili came down stairs and then got in the car to go to the playground. her purple crayon fell of the tabble and rolled and went in the vent. then they just had got home lili ran to her room and she saw her crayon was gone. she started screaming and crying. her mom came running in lili whats wrong "my crayon is gone". it was night time now she had to go to sleep now. but in the morning she was feeling a little bit better now. her mom took her to the art musem. she looked at the art and said "I wish I could draw like that". and she had forgot all about it. and they stayed their all day. but when she remembered about it they got a new one. and she made sure that she took it every where she went.

day-2
Friday morning we had family pictures taken. Mom and dad will celebrate their 40th wedding anniv come November. This is the whole reason why we went to the Ozarks was for the family to get together. September is nicer weather than November!! Can't wait to see how the pics turned out. Like I said before the weather couldn't of been nicer along with the park we took the pictures in. Beautiful!!! After pictures the guys went golfing and we (moms and nana) took the kids to Bridal Cave. It was alot of fun. My pictures may not do it justice!! It was very interesting and I think everyone really enjoyed the tour!
Joan lent her barbie sleeping bag for mom and dad!! Too long of a story for the blog of the sleeping bag! Those who know the story will appreciate the picture below!!
I bought Isla her Halloween costume this summer on super clearance. Her she is modeling it.
Ozarks- day 1
Thursday morning we headed down to the Ozarks. Met up with the rest of the family. AL and girls had been in IA for a week, they rode down with mom and dad. Pat drove thru the night and was there when we all arrived. The weather was BEAUTIFUL the whole time we were. Here are the only pics I took on day 1. Haydn LOVES babies!! Babies don't always love her though!! She was helping feed her in the pics below.

IA Football
Wes headed over to IA City yesterday for Fry Fest. I came with Carrie yesterday afternoon. We had a good time last night. Today got up early and headed to a tailgate. Shortly before the game started (11:00) it started to sprinkle. As we were walking to the game it started to rain alittle more and continued to do so for the next 3 HRS!!! Wes's seats are sheltered by the rain somewhat but them as the game went on the wind picked up and shifted and then was raining right on us. We decided to leave and walked back to the tailgate in a DOWNPOUR!!! We were drowned rats!! Luckily we had dry clothes to change into!! I did have fun even though of the rain.
Wes and I celebrated our 10 yr anniv on Thursday. Doesn't seem like it has been 10 yrs already!! Wes surprised me with a trip to Hawaii in November!! I married a great man!!
the wet look!
