water balloon fight

we bought 600 water balloons today. Seems like it takes twice as long to fill them as it does to pop them! Wes and Hannah had a great time hitting one another!!

Menace Game

Hannah with the Menace mascot
Wes, Hannah and I headed to the Menace soccer game last night. Luckily we sat on the west side of the stadium so the sun did not borrow us. The Menace won 2-0. Actually the game had to be called for their was no electricity, they had no lights on the field so it was getting dark enough that they could see to play the game.

Hannah's trip to MA

Hannah went to Mt Ayr last Saturday and came home yesterday. For the past 2-3 yrs mom and dad have taken each grandchild for a few days for some one-on-one time. They all love this time in Mt Ayr. Hannah got her American Girl-Kit for Christmas and the big thing with AG dolls is to dress like them, mom had bought fabric and sewed a dress for Hannah and a matching one for Kit. Each girl got to pick out their own fabric. Hannah's favorite color is purple so it was no surprise that she chose purple!
Getting ready for their Fancy Nancy lunch! Boas and all!

LOVE, LOVE this picture, may be hard to tell but there is a butterfly on the back of Hannah's neck at the bottom of her hair line. She caught three butterflies while she was there, naming them Summer, Spring and Winter.

The hot tub is a HUGE hit with the grandkids.

how will she eat corn on the cob?

Hannah wanted to pose for this picture

Hannah lost her second front tooth tonight. I was out eating supper with girlfriends tonight and Wes sent me a message saying sh.e lost it! Her tooth was loose but not loose enough I thought it was coming out tonight. I guess Wes wiggled it alittle to hard and then it was so loose that it had to come out tonight. What a big gap she has in the front now!!

Thursday-they will be putting on make-up and the last princess will visit. Friday- is water day. I hope the weather is nice for it!

FREE Car Wash

Hannah is in MA for her one-on-one time with Nana and Papa. Haydn and I got back home and it was sunny and not raining! MIRACLE! She wanted to play in the water so we washed Wes's dirty car. Well she actually only did part of one side so I have to finish it up!!

Zoo

The girls and I headed to the Zoo today. Luckily we dodged the rain and it was clear the whole time we were at the zoo. We had our normal picnic lunch in the van. I truly think the girls enjoy this as much if not more than actually going to the zoo!

more family fun

Each January for dad's b-day we get the grandkids pictures taken for him. Well this is the first time Vada has been back to IA since last summer. We attempted to get some shots of the kids, hopefully Kayren or Anna Leigh captured better ones than I did. We also had a birthday party for Vada while she was here, she will be 2 on June 30th!

Papa with the 5 grandkids
Vada didn't want to be in this one, she is getting a snack in the hopes she will return for another picture!

and she did!

We headed to Mt Ayr Saturday afternoon. Anna Leigh and Vada flew in Wednesday night. Mom, dad, AL and Vada came to DM on Friday afternoon. We had supper at Kayren's. Saturday morning we headed down to the Farmers Market. Mike and Kayren ran in the Dam to Dam. Was very wet and rainy on them. After the farmers market we all headed to MA for the weekend. AL brought back Hannah's b-day gift so she was excited to open the gift 2 months early. Hannah is into peace signs so she got two tops and two books. Mom and dad also had a cookout at the house Saturday night. Was a fun evening!

1st day of Kindergarten

Hannah's last day of school was Friday, June 4th. She woke up in the morning to a present on the breakfast table. She got a new stamp set. We had cinnamon rolls for breakfast, yummy! She had a great last day of school. The elementary had a field day, she even got popsicles! Her teacher was wonderful. Hannah was very blessed to have such a wonderful teacher to start out her first year in school.

Kindergarten went on a field trip to LHF today. It was a perfect day for a field trip, great weather. Hannah's class was VERY well behaved! It has been awhile since I have been there myself, I too enjoyed the day.
